Project Description:  Construction management services for an existing bridge demolition and complete replacement of the Paauau Stream Bridge, a 120-foot long, 40-foot wide reinforced concrete bridge consisting of two abutments and four continuous spans with expansion joints at the abutments. This project was an emergency repair project due to the damage from a 100-year flood. To resist the high seismic forces found on the Big Island, the foundation was designed and built as a “pile wall footing” with a shrinkage-reducing admixture used to help reduce cracking.
